So after yesterday’s Shabbat message, I came away from the service with the desire to really take these next three weeks and be as purposeful in preparing my heart as I am in cleaning my home for Passover. So these next three weeks are going to be on a more personal note once again–soul searching, if you will, being intentional about taking an objective look at the things in our lives, our attitudes, and examining them as they surface. It’s a time to be focused on repentance and humility. Let’s come into the holy days with hearts and minds ready to encounter G-d and the things He has for us to be and do to further His Kingdom.
Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Messiah, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. (1 Corinthians 5:7-8)
May you have a fruitful and meaningful time of preparation!
Blessings and Shalom to you all,
