“My G-d is so big, so strong and so mighty; there’s nothing my G-d cannot do.”

When we think of the having a “fear of G-d”, we can tend to think we are to be afraid of Him, namely, afraid of His judgement when we do something wrong. But it does not simply mean to be be afraid of disappointing Him (though if we are truly His children, there may be a healthy dose of that); true heavenly fear is a reverential awe. It is an awareness of His majesty, His greatness. He is so big, that we can’t possibly take Him all in, and when we hold ourselves up to His glory, we can feel so very small. His “stature” overwhelms us.
It is in those moments of awe, that we truly see that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. We cannot even begin to understand all that He is and why He does the things He does, but we can have a tremendous appreciation for just how expansive He is and the perfectness with which He performs all His mighty deeds.
