The World’s Gone Crazy

“The world’s gone crazy,” you might be saying. I’ve been saying it for months–no, years. But today, a lightbulb finally came on in my mind.

The world has not gone crazy; it is, however, very sick and in need of a Physician.

I heard a really amazing thing today, and I’d like to share an excerpt with you.

Love brings up everything unlike Itself…healing is a kind of detox. Everything [that shouldn’t be there] comes up in order to be released…and it’s a good thing that it comes up, because it has been running the show anyway, it’s just that we were so anesthetized to our own circumstances that we didn’t see it. In other words…it was sabotaging [our] best efforts, we just didn’t see it. ~Marianne Williamson

What I take away from this statement is, homosexuality/gay marriage, transsexuality, transgenderism, and any other host of issues that we might refer to as sin, are not the real problem; they are only symptoms of a deeper issue–that is, the current condition of mankind; put simply, we are “sick unto death”. Through one man death entered the world. Since the Fall, mankind has been walking around sick and dying, in need of a refua shlema (complete healing), not for our physical bodies, but our spirit man (as a collective entity). All these recent manifestations are just the last vestiges of the dis-ease that has been hiding in the body of mankind all this time. But there is hope, just as through one man sin and death entered the world, so now, too, through one man’s righteous act justification and grace has entered the world. All we need do is reach out and grasp the promise!

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of G-d is eternal life through Yeshua Messiah our Master.” Romans 6:23

Our choice now is to decide whether we will operate out of fear or operate out of love. We must be very careful in how we proceed, so as not to let ourselves, those of us within the Household of Faith, be the cause of someone else continuing to see G-d in a distorted way through our words and/or actions.Curl-Rainbow-Line-desktop-wallpaper-hd-1080P-hd-wallpaper-1440x900-3-5063a1e2b4f67-5154

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love G-d,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love G-d whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves G-d must also love his brother.” 1 John 4:18-21

Put on then, as G-d’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the L-rd has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Messiah rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to G-d. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Master Yeshua, giving thanks to G-d the Father through him.” Colossians 3:12-17

  • Well said, Sarah. Love covers a multitude of sins, and God’s kindness leads to repentance.
